Vocational skill​​s demonstrations, credits and modules 2010–2015

The statistics include vocational upper secondary education and training and exclude competence-based qualifications and apprenticeship training.

Credits

A credit is the basic unit of measuring the scope of studies. One credit is equal to an average of 40 hours of studies. Students may need a longer or shorter period of time to attain the credits, depending on their individual pace of study. A credit will include both organised and independent study.

Modules

Education leading to a vocational qualification (120 credits) comprises vocational subjects (90 credits), core subjects (20 credits), elective subjects (10 credits) and careers counselling. Most of the scope is taken up with vocational subjects, the content of which depends on the qualification, as it is based on the tasks and operations of the vocational field.
