Match between demand and supply of labour

The report examines the balance of labour supply and demand, i.e., their match by vocational field in 2028. The matching share is the percentage by which the sector is expected to have too much or too little labour supply in relation to the demand for labour (i.e., new job openings) on average in 2028 in relation to the number of employees in the statistical year 2019. In a balanced situation, the matching share approaches 0.0%.

The report defines the anticipated oversupplied, undersupplied, and balanced vocational fields in 2028.

The matching share is calculated from the difference between labour supply and new job openings. In the calculation of supply, the labour force offered by immigrants, the unemployed and people outside the labour force are added to those graduating from education. In the calculation of new job openings, reduction of labour is added to the demand for labour, and the vocational transition is deducted from the resulting amount.
