Competence needs

The report anticipates a change in the need for vocational field-specific competences until 2030.  The change is assessed on a scale of 1 to 5, where 1 = significantly decreases, 5 = significantly increases. The assessments are based on the competence needs survey of the National Forum for Skills Anticipation (OEF), which includes 130 vocational fields. The fields that gained 5 or more assessments are included in the report.

The review utilises the OEF classification of competence and vocational fields, which is mainly based on the ESCO classification: About ESCO | Esco (europa.eu).

Vocational field-specific competence refers to knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes that are essential for practising the profession. The need for such competence mainly occurs in positions of the field in question.
