The report anticipates the number of new qualifications from vocational education and training, universities of applied sciences, and university education in 2030. The anticipated qualifications are vocational upper secondary qualifications, bachelor’s degrees (polytechnic), and master’s degrees (university) in the age group 15–64. In addition, the report anticipates the number of graduates entering the workforce directly after graduation.
Anticipation results are presented as an annual average per field of education. The average of the qualification output for the statistical years 2020–2022 is presented as the reference value.
The number of new qualifications takes into account Vipunen’s new student statistics for each sector and field of education as well as data on the share of those who complete the qualification and the share of graduates in the labour force. In the calculation of polytechnic degrees, only 15–34-year-olds who started their studies during the last five statistical years in blended implementation have been taken into account.
The number of graduates entering the workforce directly also takes into account the share of multiple qualifications in the sector in question.
The average of the qualification output for the statistical years 2020–2022 is presented as the reference value. The qualification output does not take into account the share of graduates in the labour force.
